 We are Brian, Nicki, Chris, and Paige. We are looking for a little one to join and complete our family. We understand that while we are overjoyed with the thought of a new baby to raise, your heart must be heavy with the decisions facing you. We appreciate you for considering adoption for your baby, since it cannot be an easy route. |

We met in our early 20's and fell in love. Brian was a tow truck driver and Nicki was a security guard at a student-housing complex. We married a few years later and both decided to begin careers in law enforcement. It's hard for us to believe that this was more than 13 years ago. Anyway, after several years of marriage, we were able to purchase a little home and start our family. Christopher was born, and a few years later Paige came along. (Look below for more on them.) Our careers in small neighboring police departments have been blessings because of the financial stability provided and our work schedule flexibility. We have always been able to participate in activities and functions with the kids including extended class field trips, coaching their sports teams, and just being around to help with homework and other things. We both believe that education is very important. Neither of us chose to quit our jobs to finish college, but we began to steadily take classes. We both earned our AA degrees from the local junior college and currently take classes toward earning our Bachelor degrees. We hope that we are setting a good example for our children and they can see we practice what we preach! |
Chris is 11 years old and is an honor roll student who excels in math. He is very creative and quite a talented artist. He enjoys learning to play the trumpet in school and plans to continue with that. Chris stays busy with sports, especially roller hockey and soccer. He recently joined Boy Scouts and has been a member of 4-H. Some of his favorite activities at home are jumping on the trampoline and playing Nintendo 64 games. He also loves snow skiing and camping. Chris is looking forward to a new little brother or sister to play with. |

Paige is 9 years old and a budding honor roll student. She is a well-rounded girl, as her talents seem to be in both math and language skills. She attends a Spanish/English immersion program and is bilingual. She enjoys dance classes and also plays roller hockey, soccer, and loves to jump on the trampoline. Paige is great with animals and spends a lot of time in the chicken coop with her hens. She has been riding horses since she was 4 years old and likes going on trail rides. |
| We would describe our
family life as secure, loving, fun and very active. We
believe in clean, healthy living and as a family we most
enjoy spending time together outdoors. Some of our
favorite hobbies are riding our horses, taking the boat
to the lake for skiing, camping, hiking, and playing
soccer. Other activities we enjoy are snow skiing, ice
skating, and playing with our animals. We do spend a lot of time at the home of Brian's parents who live nearby. In addition we go on annual weeklong trips to Lake Tahoe for skiing, and another weeklong camping and boating trip each summer with them. We have lots of family events at their home where the children get to spend time with their cousins and other extended family. Nicki's parents and sister's family are farther away, but we still have a great relationship and see them fairly regularly. Our Family vacations have included trips to the Grand Canyon and other national parks, several weeks camping in northern California, visiting relatives in Kentucky, resort stays in Arizona, Maui, and most recently in Mexico. We try to go somewhere fun and new each year. We also take several mini-vacations each year. In the past we have gone to Disneyland, San Diego Wild Animal Park, Marine World, Palm Springs, zoos and water parks. |

We live in San Luis Obispo County in California. Our county is considered the "Central Coast" but we are actually inland. We live about 10 miles out of the nearest city (pop. 25,000) in a small, gated community near two big lakes. We have a nice, comfortable, four bedroom home on 5 acres. We are surrounded by beautiful views of hills and horses all around. We bought this house so we would have room to keep and ride our 2 horses. We also have a very sweet and mellow American Bulldog named "Nugget," and 5 cats to keep the gophers away. We regularly see red tail hawk, California quail, and bunnies. We also get deer, coyote, fox, raccoon, and even wild pig on the property. There is no shooting here so they are safe! |
We promise that your baby will be an integral part of our family. He or she will be showered with an abundance of unconditional love, have plenty of attention, given nurturing and guidance, experiences and opportunities, and allowed the chance to develop to his or her full potential to lead a successful and happy life. We hope for an open adoption that will provide the baby with lifelong healthy contact with you, their birth family.
